Claremore Christian School was established in the fall of 1984. The local church led by Glenn and Ami Shaffer, now called DestinyLife Church, had the vision to equip generations to engage culture with a biblical worldview. At that time, a group of enthusiastic parents jumped in with all their might and made CCS a reality. The school launched with approximately 40 elementary students. After the first completed school year the vision evolved from adding a class a year to immediately starting  a secondary program. This change came about as a result of a local Christian school closings its door and parents approaching leadership urging them to consider the idea.  In the fall of 1985,  the  junior high and senior high were born, growing CCS to over 100 students. The commencement of 1986 gave CCS its first high school graduation.

CCS currently offers a Pre K through 12th grade education, which is rich in academics and Christian values. It remains a ministry of Destiny Life Church while affecting the larger body of Christ.  Our faculty and students represent over 25 area congregations.

The foundation of Claremore Christian School lies in the commitment of families who believe that parents have the primary responsibility of their childrens education. Families, volunteers, staff, and faculty have given sacrificial labor to help CCS become what it is today. We go forward with sincere gratitude to those who have invested so much to see CCS a vibrant alternative in Northeast Oklahoma.

Claremore Christian School is accredited by the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA), which is registered with the Oklahoma Private School Accreditation Commission (OPSAC), and is recognized by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
